Emergency first aid

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to meet the requirement of organisations whose  first aid needs assessment as determined that their organisation require Emergency First Aid at Work trained employees. The course content  meets the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations  1981.
This course will provide all the required  first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally,
is unconscious, bleeding  or is ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

  • Patient Survey
  • Patient Unresponsive and Breathing Normally (Recovery Position)
  • Unresponsive Non Breathing Patient (CPR Adult)
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Alternative Ventilation Procedures
  • Chain of Survival
  • Choking

LIFE THREATENING CONDITIONS 

  • Control of Bleeding
  • Shock Management

     

SECONDARY SURVEY

  • Patient Survey: Patient Responsive
  • Epilepsy and Seizures
  • Minor Injuries

  • MAX STUDENT INSTRUCTOR RATIO : 12 Candidates: 1 Instructor
  • MAX CLASS SIZE : 24 Candidates (with 2 instructors)
  • ASSESSMENT : Continuous by Instructor
  • CERTIFICATE EXPIRY : 3 years from date of completion
  • COURSE DURATION: Initial Training: 6 hours | Retraining time: 6 hours
